Information collected automatically
When you visit the website, our systems and our service providers may collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, the pages you view, the links you click, the date and time of your visit, and the website that referred you.
Information from other sources
We may receive information about you from employer partners, from job platforms and recruiting systems we use, and from payment processors (for example, confirmation that a donation was completed).
3. How we use your information
- To respond to your questions and provide the services you request.
- To match job seekers with employer partners and open positions, and to provide career coaching.
- To work with employers on their hiring needs and workforce transitions.
- To process donations and payments, send receipts and thank-you messages, and keep required financial records.

- To send updates, event information and fundraising messages, which you can opt out of at any time.
- To operate, secure and improve the website, prevent fraud and abuse, and understand how the site is used.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations, and to protect our rights and the safety of others.
4. Text messages
If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts, HireLiving may text you about your request, coaching and job opportunities, events and updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of receiving any service or making a donation.
To stop texts at any time, reply STOP. For help, reply HELP or contact us using the details in section 15. We do not share mobile numbers or text-messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
5. Payments and donations
Online gifts and payments are processed by third-party payment providers such as Stripe and PayPal. Your card or PayPal details are entered into and handled by those providers under their own security standards and privacy policies. HireLiving does not store your full card number or security code on our website. We receive the information needed to record and acknowledge your gift, such as your name, email, billing details, amount and payment status.
If you give by check, we collect the information on the check and any note you include so we can deposit the gift and send your acknowledgment. We do not sell, rent or trade donor information. If you choose to give anonymously, we will not display your name or image publicly.
6. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described here:
- Service providers who help us run HireLiving, such as website hosting, forms, email and text messaging, customer relationship management (for example, GoHighLevel), recruiting systems (for example, Manatal), chat (Chatway), and payment processing (Stripe, PayPal). They may use your information only to perform services for us.
- Employer partners, when you apply for a position or ask us to introduce you. We share the details needed for that purpose.
- Job seekers, when we describe an employer's open position. We do not give job seekers an employer's confidential details beyond what is needed.
- Professional advisors and authorities, such as accountants, attorneys, insurers, or government agencies, when needed to meet legal and tax obligations or to respond to lawful requests.
- With your permission, for example when you agree to let us share your story or photo.
7. Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, remember your preferences, keep forms and chat functioning, and understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. Some of these are set by our service providers.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the website may not work properly without them. Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is not yet a common standard for responding to it, our website does not currently change its behavior when it receives one.
8. Chat and messaging
Our website includes a chat window provided by Chatway. Messages you send there, along with your name or contact details if you share them, are stored by HireLiving and by Chatway so we can answer you. If you choose to continue a conversation through Facebook Messenger, Meta's own privacy policy applies to that conversation. Please do not share sensitive details, such as Social Security numbers or card numbers, in chat.
9. Job listings and applications
Jobs on our website are posted on behalf of employer partners and recruiting partners. When you select Apply or Quick Apply, your information may be sent to HireLiving, to our recruiting system, or to the employer's or recruiter's own application page. Once you move to another company's page, that company's privacy policy governs what it collects. HireLiving is not your employer, and each employer decides how it uses application information under its own policies.
10. Children and Kids Motel Ministry
Our website is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the website. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Kids Motel Ministry gatherings take place in person. We seek the permission of a parent or guardian before publishing a child's photo, video or name, and we do not publish identifying details about families living in temporary housing.
11. Security and retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. No website or method of transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy, and as required by law, for example to keep donation and tax records. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
12. Your choices and rights
- Access and correction: ask what personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it.
- Deletion: ask us to delete your personal information, subject to records we must keep by law.
- Marketing: unsubscribe from emails using the link in any message, and reply STOP to texts.
- Anonymous giving: choose to give anonymously on our donation form, or tell us if you want your past gift kept private.
- Cookies: manage them in your browser settings.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws, such as the right to know, delete, correct, or opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. HireLiving does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To make a request, contact us using the details in section 15. We may need to verify your identity before acting on it, and we will respond within the time required by law. You will not be treated unfairly for exercising your rights.
13. Third-party websites
Our website links to other sites, including Kids Motel Ministry, social media pages (LinkedIn, Facebook, X), and employer or recruiter application pages. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. We encourage you to read their policies.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page. If a change is significant, we will make a reasonable effort to let you know. Your continued use of the website after a change means you accept the updated policy.
